Editor Status Updates 2026:

2026-08-30-SUN-20:40-CST – SITE BUILDING AND PUBLICATION RESTRUCTURING – I am trying to get serious again about building this website. I’ve been letting it sit by a lot and not really updating it with any new content. Well I don’t really have a lot of content planned to publish here any time soon, but there’s some things I think I could do to improve the layout of this site, and get it ready for more steady publishing in the future. Some content is going to get moved around, and possibly even deleted. I do have it planned to start adding RSS feeds to the blog. That will be sort of a major push for content publishing, but it won’t be my content. It will be content feeds from other publishers around the internet. I’ve been listening to a lot of album compilations and megamixes on Youtube recently. I started a “Feature Youtube Videos” list on this site this month. I’m trying to list videos from my Youtube Watch History to feature some of this music and other videos of interest. In my last Editor Status update, I mentioned that I moved into a new apartment. Things are going ok with that mostly. I’ve been trying to declutter a lot of things to gain space. I own way to much stuff! I am planning to completely rebuild the Surf Man Website Directory PDF. I will be removing some content, and adding new content. Some of the stuff I’ve been collecting is way too time consuming. I feel like some of it is not beneficial to the publication, and I don’t think anyone would care or miss it. It is still going to be a huge publication, but I want to turn into more of a reference publication with a big focus on recent news curation. I would love it if I could turn the publication into something that people load up on their e-ink tablets, and go sit at a park somewhere to catch up on some ad-free news.

2026-05-04-MON-11:39-CST – SITE BUILDING – Been awhile since I’ve updated my status. Ooops. Since the last status update, I’ve accomplished a lot of site building here at Surf Man, and moved into a new apartment that I am enjoying to stay in. This week I’m working on swapping out my laptop at my home office desk for a more powerful one I’ve had in storage. Also more site building is coming.

2026-01-21-WED-09:36-CST – HAPPY HUMP DAY!! – All it took was one short video on Facebook this morning to put me in the mood for listening to some Adam Lambert remixes on Youtube. I got some groceries this morning to get through the rest of this week and upcoming weekend. Just totally random, I bought a new folding chair to replace a sitting chair I acquired a couple of years ago. I like the chair that I had, but I need to make a downgrade to something that is more compact and easier to move when needed.
